I want to present for you a dance number, created especially for the international students evening at Nazareth College. For this performance I tried to find something national and connected to Russian tradition or more specifically to uncover the problems of the image of the Russian woman, her character, her essence and strength in overcoming the struggles of life.
Also for me it’s very important not to separate my creativity from modern life, and so for that reason in this dance I’m combining folk movements with contemporary dance. This piece is an expression of my thoughts about the importance of valuing the present without forgetting the past.

In my solo work I developed the theme of a memory in my life which is symbolized through a rope and it follows me until the moment then a next rope comes. I found the special dance language for this idea where I express my feeling through a movement. This dance piece I dedicate to my grandfather Vasil.
